Our club was organized in 1953, Federated in 1953 and incorporated in 1960. We are a 501 (C) 3 organization. Our mission is to promote fellowship and charitable work and encourage an interest in the civic and general welfare of the community. We are dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services. We also provide leadership opportunities for members through club activities and community services programs.
Our COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS include: Advocates for Children, Arts & Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Communications/Public Relations, Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse, Education & Libraries, Environment and Health & Wellness.
The Lakewood Women's Club is a member of the Los Cerritos District of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC), and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), an international women's organization. Clubs are located throughout California.
