The Lakewood Women's Club is a member of the Los Cerritos District of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs, and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Clubs are located throughout California with the primary purpose of carrying out charitable service, providing leadership opportunities, and enriching the lives of members through personal growth.

Our club was organized in 1953, Federated in 1953 and incorporated in 1960.  Our mission is to promote fellowship and philanthropic work and develop an interest in the civic and general welfare of the community. We are dedicated to the community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services.
